How do I book an appointment? You can book online at rich-knight-performance.cliniko.com/bookings or get in touch by phone on 01353 469470 or by email at info@richknightperformance.com.

Do I need a GP referral to book? No referral is needed. You can book directly online or by phone. If your condition requires onward medical referral, that will be discussed during your appointment.

What are your opening hours? Monday 9am–9pm, Tuesday 7am–4pm, Wednesday 8am–9pm, Thursday 9am–4pm, Friday 7am–4pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday.

What should I bring or wear to my first appointment? Wear or bring comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows access to the area being treated.

SERVICES & TREATMENTS

What is IASTM? IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation) uses specially designed instruments to treat chronic and acute soft tissue injuries. It is particularly effective for stubborn injuries that have not responded well to other treatments.

What is Dry Needling and is it the same as acupuncture? Dry needling uses a small sterile filament needle to treat trigger points in muscles. It is an evidence-based technique focused on pain control, reducing muscle tension, and supporting rehabilitation. It uses the same type of needle as acupuncture but serves a different clinical purpose.

What does a Foot Health appointment cover? Rich Knight is a registered Foot Health Practitioner (FHP), trained at the SMAE Institute. Foot health appointments cover the assessment, treatment, and prevention of conditions including verrucas, corns, callus, ingrown toenails, and general foot pain. This is a separate appointment from sports injury treatment.

Do you work with people who are not competitive athletes? Yes. The clinic works with people at all activity levels — from competitive athletes to those dealing with everyday pain, work-related discomfort, or mobility issues. You do not need to play sport to benefit.

Do you offer home visits? Emergency home visits are available in Soham at £109. If you live in a surrounding village, contact the clinic directly to discuss availability.

TREATMENT & RESULTS

How many sessions will I need? This depends on your injury, how long it has been present, and your goals. Some clients see significant improvement in one or two sessions. Others with more complex or long-standing issues benefit from a short course of treatment. A realistic plan is discussed at your first appointment.

I have had this injury for a long time — is it too late to get it treated? It is never too late. Chronic and long-standing injuries can often be significantly improved with the right approach. A full assessment will identify what is driving your symptoms and what is realistically achievable.

Can you help me prepare for a race or event? Yes. Performance support — including load management, injury prevention, and race-week preparation — is a core part of what Rich Knight Performance offers. Whether you are preparing for a running race, HYROX, or another event, get in touch to discuss what would be most useful.

Will I be given exercises to do at home? In most cases, yes. Rehabilitation exercises are a key part of getting lasting results. Any exercises will be tailored to your injury and current ability, with clear guidance on what to do and how often.
